I stayed a few days at the latter while my wife stayed at Lisieux. They are a wonderful community. Their chant is very beautiful, non-Gregorian, but very liturgical.
We have made a few contributions and encourage others to do so. We get the quarterly newsletter (in French, which helps me stay in practice reading French - I am terrible at speaking it).
Check out their website. Join your prayer to theirs, a great source of grace in the modern world.Dan O'Neillhttp://Www.oneillmanagementconsulting.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2808683809539786714.post-10405282603918410112010-06-12T13:24:57.673-07:002010-06-12T13:24:57.673-07:00I have been visiting the Monastic Fraternities of ...I have been visiting the Monastic Fraternities of Jerusalem for ov er 30 years. Since their beginnings in Paris in 1975 they have opened other community houses in France (Vezelay, Mont St Michel, Strasbourg, Magdala), Italy (Florence, Rome), Belgium (Brussels), Germany (Cologne, Canada (Montreal) and Poland (Warsaw). A foundation in Africa (Togo) is also planned. Sadly as yet there is no foundation in an English speaking country. I would be very interested to hear from anyone interested in the possibility of establishing a community based on their way of life in the UK. IN the meantime I would be very keen to hear from anyone interested in establishing a non residential community of lay and ordained, married and single people living according to their rule. If interested please get in touch.
Fr Michael
Scotland
pilgrim@6a.org.ukpilgrimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15308787446629191869noreply@blogger.com
